Looking for a way to listen to your AI-generated podcasts on the go? Google has you covered with a new mobile app for iOS and Android that promises most of the features of the web-based program, "with more refinements and features to come in the months ahead."

Google noted that you can now listen to Audio Overviews offline, which can be helpful if you're out of network coverage, whether you're in a subway tunnel, a service deadspot, or just don't want to use your cell data. They also will play in the background, so you can multitask while listening.

The new app lets you interact with the AI-generated hosts, too. Just tap Join in the app and ask questions; the hosts will answer your questions and adjust on the fly to the direction you point them in.

You can now share websites, PDFs, and even YouTube videos on your smartphone directly to NotebookLM, adding these as new sources. Google says it will add new input types over time.

Notebook LM uses Google Gemini 1.5 as an AI-powered notebook and research assistant that lets you upload your own documents on any subject, becoming an expert in that specific subject matter. Notebook LM can summarize a document, answer questions across all sources, and even find connections between sources.

Audio Overviews give you a complete podcast-style summary of any of your documents as well. Want to feel great about yourself? Just drop your resume into Notebook LM and have the two human-sounding hosts discuss your career trajectory in glowing terms.

They're easy to create in the Studio panel under Deep Dive conversation, and now you can take them along with you on the road with the new mobile app.
